Get To Know Your Pastor: Travel Edition

Topics: Community, Pastors

After being cooped up at home for weeks on end, have you started daydreaming of family visits or faraway places you'll travel to once we're able again? You aren't the only one – your pastors are dreaming up these trips too! Keep reading to learn where your pastors are going once this is over... they may (or may not) be similar to your own!

Pastors – Where is the first place you want to travel to after this is over

PASTOR TOM: Elk City, Oklahoma and Dallas, Texas to see our grandchildren.

PASTOR DANIEL: We are scheduled for a big family trip to Boston and Vermont in July. I'm hopeful that we can still do that!

PASTOR ANDREA: My sister, Mom and I are scheduled to take a cruise to Ireland and Scotland in late May. This is a bucket list trip for my mom's 85th birthday. If we have to cancel, then I'll definitely use that vacation time to head for the beach.

PASTOR DICK: Memphis, Tennessee to see family. We're also holding our breath in hopes that our summer trip to Greece is still a "go."

PASTOR STEPHEN: Paris and Costa Rica!

PASTOR JAMES: Little Rock, Arkansas to see my parents, sister, niece and nephew. That's what I miss most – seeing our family. We have not been there since Christmas. We also had to cancel a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Lambert right as the virus was hitting Oklahoma. For that matter, it will be so nice just to go to Broken Arrow to see Christine's (my wife's side of the) family!

Worship with Us on Sunday

Asbury's mission is Helping Others Follow Jesus. We are all about being and making disciples. It's not one or the other: … It's both for us. We follow Jesus, but we are actively seeking to help others follow Him, too. We believe that following Jesus is the key to life here and now, and eternally. So remember: be a disciple, and make disciples.
