Amazing Asbury Kids: Stories of YOUR Kids Conquering their World

Topics: AsburyKids, Children

mason-picFor some kids, indoor recess is simply a disappointment as their freedom to run and play has been stripped away all at a weathers prerogative… For one 1st grade AsburyKid indoor recess has always been a source of anxiety from the unknown, paired with the noise and chaos to follow.

Have you ever been in an situation when you felt prepared and had certain expectations then all of a sudden things change and you’re thrown into something totally different? Kids get us on this one. This AsburyKid had been dreading indoor recess from the second it was announced it one day.

This time however she remembered something that changed the narrative: that Sunday we talked about how we all have access to God and can talk with God Him. We also discussed that He WILL always answer us: yes, no, maybe. She decided to pray right then and ask God to take away her unknown and fear.

That day our AsburyKid had the best indoor recess ever and could not wait to go home and tell her mom and dad that her answers her prayers and makes her brave. Do you have a story like this? We encourage you to share what God is doing in your kids’ lives with others and with us!

Worship with Us on Sunday

Asbury's mission is Helping Others Follow Jesus. We are all about being and making disciples. It's not one or the other: … It's both for us. We follow Jesus, but we are actively seeking to help others follow Him, too. We believe that following Jesus is the key to life here and now, and eternally. So remember: be a disciple, and make disciples.
